Description of the path: the walk starts at the Bois du Petit-Chateau (C), a small zoo which can be entered free of charge and is well-loved by local inhabitants; walk uphill to the area where Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, later known as Le Corbusier, built several houses in the early 20th century, including the famous Maison blanche (1) for his parents. The road goes quite steeply up through the forest; turn right at both of the junctions (2,3) you come to, heading for la Sombaille. If you wish, turn left at the second junction (3) to make a little detour to the Grébille restaurant, a working farm-come-pub at an altitude of about 700 m. Otherwise, turn right at point (3). to continue towards the upper part of la Sombaille (4) where you will have beautiful, panoramic views of the French Jura, the Franches-Montagnes and the Chasseral. As you walk down towards the Hospital (D), you will have (5) an interesting view of the eastern end of the watch-making town.
